In this US-based global senior leadership role you will lead, develop, and hire top talent that will help build new lines of business for both Rubrik and its partners.
Rubrik Cloud Data Security is a single software fabric that manages all application data in the cloud, at the edge, and on-premises. This includes ransomware, backup, recovery, archival, analytics, development, and integration with today’s major public cloud providers. Rubrik enables hybrid cloud enterprises to mobilize applications across clouds, automate intelligent orchestration workflows to enable self-service, and search and analyze application data at scale.
The Sr. Director, Partner Engineering will be responsible for leading a global team building services, driving pipelines for those services, and the broad and deep enablement of partners. The Sr. Director, Partner Engineering comes to the role with a background that includes: a proactive people-first and engaged leadership style, experience building and leading teams focused on service creation, revenue modeling, large technical proposal authoring, drive ecosystem partners and services, and a successful track-record of managing the technical element of global partnerships.
In addition to the business skills needed, successful candidates will need to demonstrate a strong technical acumen and a proven track record of hiring and developing top sales engineering talent. This candidate will lead from the front, communicate openly, and set the example of a positive and collaborative work environment.
Required Capabilities & Experience
- Proactive people-first leadership capabilities with a strong focus on building the best platform for their team to successfully deliver a world-class partnership. A strong mix of people development, talent identification, business knowledge, and technical acumen is required.
- Successful experience partnering with VARs, Global GSIs and MSPs to create and consume services
- Provides technical leadership and direction to partners and internal staff in the development of fully integrated technology solutions
- Architectural experience in complex infrastructures including cyber security, virtualization, application high-availability, distributed systems, file systems, RDBMS, disaster recovery, public cloud, and security
- Acts as technical thought leader to develop partner delivered solutions that meet the technology and business requirements
- Serves as a trusted technology advisor and that delivers technical and sales presentations to partners’ technical staff and senior management
- Exemplary relationship building skills with proven ability to drive lasting relationships of mutual value with partners and sales teams
- Travel (International & Domestic Travels): 50%+
Desired capabilities & experience
- 5-10 years of sales engineering leadership experience, with a track record of leading high growth, high performance teams
- 10-15 years of sales engineering experience preferably in a security or data center environment
- Driven – need for success, highly energetic with a strong hands-on, “can do” approach
- Entrepreneurial - willing to go the extra mile, strong work ethic, resourceful, “get it done” attitude
- Follow Up - thrives in a moving, fast-paced environment handling multiple activities per day with immediate follow up
- High business acumen and experience working with CxO level personnel, bringing technology solutions to solve complex business challenges

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; this role is also eligible to earn commissions pursuant to the Company’s written Incentive Compensation Plan. Additionally, the role is eligible for equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
